It’s been a very busy fall with weddings and loads of travel for my new job. Perk of working for a San Francisco based office are trips out to that city once in a while but the downside is you never get to take care of things around your house. So, my amazing Dad and awesome Uncle Matt (who is also my Godfather) came to Chicago this week with a couple ladders, a ton of tools, and a handyman list I gave them of things I was hoping they could help with. Within 4 hours, these two Mr. Fix-Its had accomplished what seemed to be 85% of the things on the list. Likely my most favorite being losing the track lighting in my dining room.
Unfortunately, they wrapped up and headed out and I didn’t get to say good-bye to them in person, and profusely thank them. The work they did helped remove the lingering frat boy charm the former residents left. And I was blown away as who knew a set of blinds could change the entire feel of a room?
But in true Rentenbach form, they left me a little love note (photo above) and I came home and smiled for 5 minutes at this. Little did they know the Swifter was in the closet the whole time.
Feeling very blessed to have such a wonderful family. It’s good to be such a lucky gal.
